To begin, it is important to understand that Lincoln does not allow every vehicle to be a part of this program. To make it onto the Lincoln Certified Pre-Owned Program list, a vehicle must pass a thorough and extensive process of inspections and checks. Only after the vehicle passes that process is it made available to our customers.


The major testing process that we use is a 200-point inspection that goes from grille to trunk. Any part or system that does not pass is either replaced or repaired, using only factory-authorized parts. Because this inspection is so thorough, we can offer our customers a limited warranty that is second to none.


In addition to the 200-point inspection, all vehicles offered through the Lincoln Certified Pre-Owned Program must meet the following:

  • The odometer must show less than 60,000 miles. And each vehicle is put through a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™ to identify any problems or issues that the vehicle may have or have had in the past. This includes searching for any past accidents or any damage that may have occurred to the vehicle because of flood or fire.
  • To ensure quality results, only factory-trained Lincoln Dealer technicians are allowed to perform inspections. These professionals know what to look for and they know how to fix any problem that they encounter. Just as importantly, they know when a vehicle should not be offered through the Lincoln Certified Pre-Owned Program.

With the Lincoln Certified Pre-Owned Program, you can be assured of reliability and quality because we back our program vehicles with warranty coverage that always includes replacement or repair of items that are covered for 6 years or 100,000 miles as shown on the odometer (whichever comes first).
