Lincoln has been making luxury vehicles for a long time, and that experience and history can be seen in the new 2015 Lincoln MKZ. This year's model now offers some nice additions to its standard equipment list including rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, and a rear-view camera. The 2015 Lincoln MKZ offers buyers a variety of engine options. The standard is a 2 liter, turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine. This engine generates 240 horsepower with a 6 speed auto transmission. Front wheel drive is the standard but all wheel is optional. For the same price, consumers can choose the fuel-efficient Lincoln MKZ Hybrid.
There is also an optional V6 3.7 liter (300 hp) or the MKZ Hybrid that matches an electric motor with its 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder (188 hp). The Lincoln MKZ hybrid works with a CVT (continuous variable transmission) and is front-wheel-drive only. It is rated at 37 city and 38 highway.
The 2015 Lincoln MKZ offers the company's well-known smooth and quiet ride. With the standard adaptive suspension, along with the very effective active noise cancellation system, the cabin ride is truly luxurious. Drivers will appreciate the solid feel of the vehicle, even on curves.
There are two versions: Lincoln MKZ gas and Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. Each model is also equipped with standard safety features that include high-quality anti-lock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front knee airbags, front side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, and rear parking sensors and much more.
The interior of the 2015 Lincoln MKZ is sleek and modern, and one will notice the absence of knobs and the usual buttons. It is all on the touchscreen interface, which is easy to read and use. Rear seating legroom is plentiful and offers passengers a comfortable ride. Trunk space comes in at 15.4 cubic feet. Note: trunk space on the hybrid is 11.1 cubic feet because of the battery pack.
