For
anyone seeking a high-quality 5-passenger SUV, the 2015 Lincoln MKX is
the vehicle to check out first. This crossover SUV has the distinction
of being a true Lincoln, which is world-known for its luxury and high
degree of craftsmanship.
The 2015 Lincoln MKX is available in one trim level, but that level is outstanding and includes standard equipment that includes automatic headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, remote start, keyless ignition/entry, power lift-gate, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated side mirrors with handy auto-dimming for driver's side, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, cruise control, dual automatic climate control, heated 8-way power front seats, driver memory functions, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, cargo management system and much more.
The vehicle offers a range of electronic features that include (standard) Sync voice commands, satellite radio, Bluetooth phone/audio connectivity, 8-inch screen for the MyLincoln Touch info-tainment system, CD player with 10-speaker system, and USB/iPod interface.
Those new to Lincoln may not be aware of the MyLincoln Touch interface. This is modern technology at its best, and it comes standard on the 2015 Lincoln MKX. At its core are the two driver-configurable information screens. The system also includes a very elegant central/main touchscreen as well as a functional voice-control system. Users of the system call it awesome, however, a few drivers have found it takes some study time to learn all of the functions that the system is capable of handling.
As for the interior, the front and rear seating in the 2015 Lincoln MKX is spacious and very comfortable. Seating material, front and rear, is of high quality and very attractive. Of particular note is the backseat which can easily seat three adults in style and comfort. For those who carry loads, the rear cargo area measures a little more than 32 cubic feet which is plenty of room for most uses. Flip down the back seat backs and you find a maximum capacity of 68.6 cubic feet for luggage, groceries, and just about anything else you may need to haul.
While there is only trim level, there are a variety of equipment packages. For instance, the Premium Equipment Group (also called Equipment Group 101A) includes 18-inch aluminum wheels, auto wipers, adaptive xenon headlights, rear-view camera, cross traffic and blind-spot warning systems, interior mood lighting, leather upholstery, and power-adjust steering wheel.
There is also the Elite Equipment Group (also called Equipment Group 102A). In addition to all of the above, this group also includes panoramic sunroof, easy to use navigation system, 14-speaker THX audio system and Sirius Traffic and Travel Link. Note: Navigation and sound systems available without sunroof.
Many buyers will want to check out the Limited Edition package. This package includes special center console, unique badges, upgraded leather upholstery, 20-inch wheels, and more.
Powertrain:
The 2015 Lincoln MKX has plenty of power that is delivered through its 3.7 liter engine (V6). The engine generates 305 horsepower as well as 280 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Standard is front-wheel drive but all-wheel drive is available as an option.
